The importance of security for all personally-identifiable information associated with visitors to the Website—as well as SLI Notify customer information, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, messages and other account data—is of utmost concern to SLI Notify.  We will take reasonable technical and organization precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.  We have implemented, and periodically review, certain physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help prevent unauthorized access and maintain data security.  Some of the security measures we take include, but are not limited to, the use of encryption technologies to encrypt the transmission of sensitive data between your browser and the SLI Notify website to help protect the confidentiality of that data as it traverses the public Internet, best practices for secure web application development to help prevent unauthorized access to any of your data, periodic reviews of the security measures taken to protect your information, and many others.  As a customer of our services, and a visitor to our Website, it is also your responsibility to ensure the use of strong passwords for your account, to keep your Customer ID and PIN numbers secure, and help prevent unauthorized access to your account and to the contact information you have in your account.  Unauthorized access is prohibited and punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.  Unfortunately, due to the open nature of Internet communications, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be secure, and thus we cannot guarantee that communications between you and SLI Notify will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. Visitors of the Website and SLI Notify customers use the Website at their own risk.

While this privacy policy states our standards for maintenance of data and we will make efforts to meet them, we are not in a position to guarantee these standards.  There may be factors beyond our control that may result in disclosure of data.  As a consequence, we disclaim any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or nondisclosure of data.
